Welcome to GP Students!
We know that the Middle School and High School years are exciting, challenging, and crucially important. We are passionately committed to eradicating hopelessness in Milwaukie and beyond by creating a place for all students to belong, to grow spiritually, and to fulfill their God given purpose. We would love for you to join us!
Sundays at 9:30AM in the Middle School Room (located downstairs in the Family Lobby).
Sunday mornings, we meet for an hour and fifteen minutes to study and discuss the Bible and issues Middle School students deal with. We usually have a short time of worship and some time to hang out with friends and some amazing adults that think middle schoolers are the best kind of people!
Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30PM in the Middle School Room
Wednesday nights are high energy, with lots of laughter, games, weird discussions, Xbox, air hockey, prayer, foosball, candy and more. Then, for the last 45 minutes of the night we join the High School group for a time of worship and a biblical message focused on Jesus and aimed at students and what they are dealing with in life.
CAMPS, RETREATS AND EVENTS:
Every year we go to Camp Tadmor for Summer Camp and Growth Getaway (in the Fall). In 2019 we did our first Winter Camp called “Whiteout” on Mount Hood and plan to make that an annual tradition as well. In addition to those big events, we do other fun events and service projects throughout the year - all designed to cultivate community and spiritual growth. You can check the church calendar or our student Facebook or Instagram for upcoming events.
Sundays at 9:30 AM in the High School Room (located downstairs in the Family Lobby).
This is a relaxed time to catchup with friends, study and discuss the Bible or review Pastor Jason’s sermon from the week before and spend some time worshipping together. It’s a great way to start your Sunday and your week!
Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30PM in the High School Room.
Wednesday nights are a great time to get a break from your week, catch up with friends, laugh a lot, play some games, and spend some time in smaller groups discussing life, difficult issues and praying for each other. Then the last 45 minutes of the night we are led in worship by our student worship team and hear a biblical message focused on Jesus and aimed at students and what they are dealing with in life.
CAMPS, RETREATS AND EVENTS:
We have 4 annual traditions – Winter Blast, Mission Trip, Exodus (summer camp) and our Rummage Sale.
In February, we head to the snow for Winter Blast, our winter retreat, if you hate snow, worship, studying the Bible or laughing till it hurts, this is not the event for you!
Then over spring break, we have our Mission trip, in 2019 we went to Morelia Mexico to serve with NOE International.
During the week that straddles July and August we head to central Oregon for Exodus our summer camp, where we get dragged around the lake on inner tubes, hike to waterfalls, go whitewater rafting and do a lot of worshipping and reflecting on our faith together.
Finally, the last Saturday of September we do our annual all church Rummage Sale, it is massive!! Our first year we made $11,000! But, it’s all hands on deck — it takes a ton of teamwork and lots of generous donations. And, almost every dollar raised is credited to the students who worked the sale to be used for camps and missions trips. In addition to these four big events we do a variety of other smaller fun events and service projects throughout the year all designed to cultivate community and spiritual growth. You can check the church calendar or our student facebook or Instagram for upcoming events.
